Family Education Services

AFF’s Family Education Service (FES), headed by Dr. Michael Langone, combines existing AFF services with new services designed to improve AFF’s capacity to respond to families and individuals. FES provides, or will provide as it develops:

AFF’s Cult Information Line 239.514.3081, which provides information and referral from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) Monday through Friday.

A wide range of publications and audiovisual resources.

An award-winning Web site containing resource listings, lists of links to other organizations, a group index of AFF’s Cult Observer, abstracts from AFF’s Cultic Studies Journal, and other practical information:

Special research services to seek out information on specific groups or topics.

Personalized telephone consultation with experts in the field – by appointment only.

Workshops and conferences designed to help families and former group members deal with the problems that confront them.

Personal consultation with experts in the field: currently available at AFF’s Florida office; additional sites to be determined in the future.

Special curricula that, when complete, will provide study guides, workbooks, exercises, and self-tests (as well as correspondence course versions) for loved ones of cult-involved persons, former members, professionals, and others.
