According to local authorities in Camp Verde, AZ, the Rev. Jim Jones, 62-year-old head of the Spoken Tabernacle Church, is growing militant and irrational. Out on bail awaiting trial after a Yavapai County grand jury indicted him last year on two counts of child molestation, Jones’s secretive nature and tight-fisted control of his flock, are keeping law-enforcement authorities at bay, unable to corroborate dozens of bizarre stories from former church members.
