About the Electronic Library
Since its founding in 1979 AFF has been
publishing and collecting information related to
cultic groups, new religious movements, sects,
spiritual abuse, psychological manipulation and abuse and other
topics. From 1979-1984 we published The
Advisor, a newspaper that summarized press
reports and provided original reports and
analyses on cult-related issues. From
1984-2002 we published Cultic Studies Journal
and Cult Observer; the former was a
scholarly journal, which published nearly 200
articles, while the latter summarized
approximately 3000 press reports during the
period of its publication. Since 2002 we
have published
Cultic Studies Review,
which integrates Cultic Studies Journal
and Cult Observer.
Cultic Studies Review is an Internet journal
with an abridged print edition. Subscribers
have access to current and all past issues on the
Internet.
All articles from Cult Observer and
Cultic Studies Journal (CSJ) are now also
available in electronic format. As of April
2004 we are only able to share these articles
with inquirers as e-mail attachments (CSJ
electronic reprints can be purchased through our
online
bookstore).
Soon, however, we plan to have all CSJ
reprints and the more than 3000 Cult Observer
articles on more than 1000 groups available to
members of our special e-library, which has not
yet been officially launched. Late in 2004
or early 2005, we expect to add the articles from
The Advisor, as well as several thousand
other news articles.
Subscribers to our free
e-newsletter
will be kept abreast of the e-library's progress.
